Tell us about your family!

     I am married to my high school sweetheart and we have two beautiful babies. Our oldest son Kenyon is 2 and our youngest daughter Aaliyah is about 11 months! They both have brought us more joy than we could have ever imagined. We are a silly bunch that loves our football sundays, NBA game days, and then baseball season is all about traveling to watch our baby cousins play ball! We are basically sports fanatics!

How long have you been using Young Living, and why did you get started? What rank are you now?

     Our family has been using Young Living for two years. I got started with Young Living because I had been experiencing a lot of stress and anxiety with the loss of a loved one. My friend had posted about this wonderful little bottle called Stress Away and I wanted to try some for myself, so I did. Well then it all just went uphill from there when I started sharing about the oils and how they worked so well for our family. I am currently at the rank of silver and I'm striving for Gold.

Where do you store your oils? 

     I store my oils on a huge hand-made shelf that stores about 60 oils! Obviously I have many more that I'm using in each room of my home. Did I mention I have 4 diffusers?

You are running a rockin business. Did you see this coming? What has surprised you the most?

     I did not see the blessings this business would bring for our family, I do believe that God places certain people in your life for a reason and he always has a plan when you don't see it. God had a plan with these oils and it’s brought so much to our family.

What is something you’ve learned about yourself along the way?

     I would say something that I have learned about myself is that I am a Yellow! I love cheering people on in my team and watching them reach their goals and succeed expectations of themselves that they were unsure of!

If you could go back and talk to your pre-oils self, what would you say?

     Get the oils. You need the oils. They will bring more health to your family than you could have ever imagined.

What YL product could you NEVER live without? And what’s one that just makes you really stinkin’ happy?

     One YL product I could NEVER live without would be THIEVES!!!! I will never run out of this and love it for my home and to keep our immune systems in check!! One oil that makes me really happy that I keep in my diaper bag at all times is JOY!!! Oh goodness does that save the day when I feel like I am about to have a mommy meltdown.

How much emphasis do you put on yourself to continue learning and growing?

     I force myself to learn something new everyday about the oils. I’m always trying new blends, I have started reading much more and even made a personal page just for oils so that I could reach out to all my fence sitters without cluttering my newsfeed with just oils, because they are something that I could talk about everyday.

What have you always found to be easy within your business?

     Something I have always found to be easy with my business is letting people come to me! I will not go and seek people out and tell them they have to have these oils. That is just weird to me. I believe it is the person's will to want them and if they do come to me then it is meant to be and I am more than thrilled to introduce them to the oily life!!!

What have you found to be hard within your business?

     One challenge that I have faced with the business is learning to not over commit myself and stretching myself too thin. I have to set small goals in order to achieve the big ones and I am finally grasping this and running with it!

When you have time for yourself, what could we find you doing?

     You’ll finding me working away on new ideas for my team on my computer or answering fun interviews like this ;) I choose to take advantage of this time where I can strictly focus on growing my business and the people on my team!

What has been the highlight of your career?

     The highlight of this career has been all the relationship building and the new personalities I’ve gotten to know that live in a totally different country!!! It amazes me how diverse this company is and how much we can learn from others and the different lifestyles that you see.

To somebody who is just starting their wellness journey with Young Living, what advice would you give?

     The advice I would give would be to make little changes as you can when you are walking on this wellness journey and educate yourself everyday on how to better use your oils safely, and how to slowly get rid of toxins in your home.

To somebody who is inspired and also wants to check out the business side of Young Living, what advice would you give?

     DIVE IN! You have no idea what is in store for your life when you step out of your comfort zone and start the business. Share with people who you are, they will feel your energy thriving as they watch you grow!
